Number One

I just started my first week of my sophomore year. I arrived a few days ago and I moved into a four person suite with three of my best friends. It seems like it is going to be a good year, we are getting along pretty well. The only problem so far is that we have no hot water in our shower. Which is a terrible thing but I hope it will be fixed soon. Trying to set up my room was a challenge it took three hours to set up my computer and it still doesn't run right. But at least I have the Internet. So I can check my email ever hour or so even though no one usually emails me. And of course I'm always on facebook just like everyone else I know. My classes seem to be pretty good however I might switch out of my business class because I recently decided to become a math teacher. So I should really start taking the classes that go with that major. I want to be a 9th grade math teacher I think because I would also like to be a coach. Probably softball since its my favorite sport. I decided to be a teacher mainly because of my work schedule all summer off is not a terrible thing. But I also want to be able to help the kids and teach them. I am a little nervous about it though because its a big decision but I think its the right one. Another big reason that i decided to do this is that one day I would like to open my own restaurant and with summers off I could do that. Even if it is only open then it would still be something I would like to do.

Alyson,

Lots of stuff going on!

I own my own place in the country, and when I started, I had nothing. I lived a year here with no water (except what I hauled in), no heat--and certainly no HOT water!

I threw a party when I got a well and heat!

Good luck this term!

In Greene (where i live) there is an ice cream shop (that also does food, like hot dogs and sandwiches) and it is run by teachers at Greene High school, so its only open during the summer - so i think your hope to have a 'part-time' restaurant is definitely possible.

I hope the best for you. You have a lot of goals, and it will be a difficult task. I hope you create a restaurant with a variety of dishes, so I can come and eat.
